This 1,300 square-foot education and activity center will be designed specifically to serve the interests and support the educational endeavors of children ages 9-12. The Center will cater to their desire for hands-on learning and employ specialized personal computers loaded with age-appropriate, “edutainment” software, designed to make education entertaining.

This area will also feature enticing interactive displays in a space designed to accommodate the enthusiasm of pre-teen patrons, without disrupting the quiet study of others.

Nicknamed “The Birdhouse” for its architectural features focused on flight, this area will feature live birds, models, and windows with a view of the Hill Air Force Base flight path and the grounds, specially designed to attract indigenous and migrating birds.

The Birdhouse will also be supported by state-of-the-art, flat-panel displays, dual-sound systems for voice and music, and age-appropriate Internet access.
