This 270-seat Black Box Theater\Lecture Hall will provide a venue for theater-quality film festivals, musical presentations, author readings, lecture series, community gatherings, and public discussions on issues of interest.

The theater will be in high demand for its cutting-edge, digital audio/video display and control, including High Definition (HD) video projection, employing Digital Light Processing (DLP) projector technology, with the unique ability to display in wide screen (16:9) presentation format and to process multiple full screen (4:3) inputs, simultaneously.

The Theater will feature a broad range of digital processing inputs (digital video, high definition TV, digital-broadcast satellite, digital-cable TV, and Moving Picture Expert Group); multiple, personal-computer connectivity and display; and Dolby Digital Surround capabilities, including multi-channel spatial focusing. Digital recording capabilities will capture and preserve special events.

All technology applications (lighting, audio/video, input and microphone selection) will be managed from a central control room, or from an “intelligent” touch-panel system interface on a smart lectern.

More than 900 square feet of stage area will be accentuated by 525-square-feet of green space; embellished by an exceptional acoustical design; and feature a grand piano to accommodate music, dance and other artistic presentations. The Theater will be serviced by a loading dock and commercial-size, rollup door to facilitate delivery of props and support equipment.

Flanked by an art gallery; located in close proximity to a courtyard where audience members will be able to mingle with guest artists and performers; and augmented by public meeting rooms, a teleconferencing center, amphitheater, and commercial kitchen; the Theater\Lecture Hall will play host to a wide variety of community programs and events.
